Select language and order type
- Before taking an order, the customer needs to first select a language between English and Chinese. Then, if the switch “Show Stay/To Go” is turned off on the Back Office, the customer doesn’t need to select the order type before seeing the menu and taking an order. If the switch is turned on, the user will see the screen and be required to select from Stay or To Go as the order type. (Ad banner image size: 1080*300 px)
Add items to the order
- The menu categories show up at the start of the order-taking process. The first category will be selected by default. The category selected will be highlighted on the left of the screen. All menu items are listed on the right of the screen. It shows the image of the menu item, the item name, and the item prices. Tap the “Add To Cart” or a variant button to start modifying the item and add the item to the order. (Ad banner image size: 1080*300 px)
- Within the item detail screen, it shows the item descriptions. For some items, the customer is required to select the variant of the item. When selecting the modifiers, it shows the modifiers attached to the menu item, and the customer can see the item price with the modifiers selected.
Review order
- After items are added to the order, it shows the total quantity of items in the order at the bottom of the screen. Tap the View Order button to review and continue to pay for the order.
- While reviewing the order, it shows the item name, modifier details, quantity, price, and several action buttons. Tap the +, - button to edit the quantity of each item in the order. Tap Edit to change the modifiers selected for the item (e.g. ice level, sugar level, toppings). Tap the Comment button to add notes for the item. Tap the X button to remove the item from the order.
- Once confirmed, tap the “Confirm Order” button to continue to pay for the order.
Pay for the order by cash
When an order is confirmed, the customer can proceed to checkout. They are required to select paying by cash or credit card (if the payment types are supported).
When paying for cash is selected, it shows the order number and prints a receipt. The customer can then take the receipt or use the order number to pay for the order at the POS. After 5 seconds, the screen will exit and the next customer can start ordering.
Pay for the order by credit card
After the customer selects paying for the order by credit card, they can then follow the steps shown on the screen.
- Before swiping the card, the customer needs to select the amount of tip to be added. They can choose from the suggestions or use the handle to custom the tip amount. Then, tap the Pay button to continue.
- After the customer swipes/inserts the credit card, they will need to use their finger to sign on the screen. After signing is complete, the customer needs to tap the Done button to go to the next step.
Lastly, the customer needs to select a way to receive the receipt. They can choose to get the receipt by email, text message, or printing. They are required to enter their email address or phone number if necessary. Then, the order would be complete. It shows the order number on the screen which disappears after 5 seconds before the next customer can start a new order.
Taking an Order on Kiosk
