# Surcharges & Discounts

## Manage surcharges, discounts, and staff permissions for applying them.

### **Set Up a Surcharge or Discount**

**Dashboard > Settings > Store Settings > Surcharges & Discount**

1. Click **"Add Surcharge"** or **"Add Discount"**
2. Enter Surcharge or Discount Name. This will be listed on the receipt
3. Enter Surcharge or Discount Rate. This can be set as a percentage or amount

### **Add Surcharge or Discount to Order**

1. On the Payment screen, tap surcharge or discount
2. Select a preset surcharge/discount or manually enter a value or percentage

### **Set up permissions on Surcharge & Discount**

**Dashboard > Employee > Set Roles**

Set permissions to control whether staff can apply surcharges or discounts.

1. Click the role that you want to make changes.
2. Select the necessary permissions under **Order** for each employee role
3. Restart the POS to apply the permission changes
